    Relationship between Resilience and Job Stress

    Emotional resilience is inbuilt or inborn in every individual, but it should be learned and developed. An individual who wants to handle life’s disputes which are macro and micro levels with greater ease and to turn potentially can follow the steps suggested below that will help to become more resilient to cope up with stress.Job Stress

    (a) Good relationship: An act of getting help or moral support from others especially when the situation being hard enough to handle strengthens resilience. This needs a good relationship with everyone who is with us. A good relationship provides great social support and hopes to carry out the endeavors.

    (b) Do not consider the problem that cannot be solved: It is possible to change the fact, whereas an individual may plan how to interpret and respond to these issues.

    (c) Attaining Goals: Designing some realistic goals and moving towards that goals enables one to relieve from unnecessary thoughts and stress. A keen interest in attaining goals and targets helps for being resilient.

    (d) Look for opportunities and prospects: An individual who have crossed various struggles and experiences learn something about themselves. The people who have experience are advised others to have good relationships, spent time for self-care, spiritual development, and higher appreciation for life. Because these qualities enable one to look for opportunities and prospects in life.

    (e) Take definitive activities: A person who endured with pressure must follow up on unfriendly circumstances however much as could reasonably be expected. Rather than get oneself far from issues and stress, they may take decided activities.

    (f) Cultivate Optimism: The quality of positive thinking and approach in employees helps them to be resilient that develops confidence in their ability to solve problems and to overcome stress.

    (g) Long-term perspective: The quality of considering the painful events or stressful situations in a long-term perspective helps to build resilience. The own imagination about the impact of that event and situation must be avoided, so as to keep away from stress.

    (h) Confident Outlook: An employee who is visualizing what they want can overcome stress, rather than worrying about what they fear. A hopeful outlook facilitates the employees to have goodness in their workplace.

    (I) Self-care: Self-care is one of the best options to overcome job stress. Paying attention to our own needs, engaging in activities that make us enjoy, and doing some regular exercises help to stay our mind and body stay to handle the situations that develop resilience.

    (j) Attitude development: A positive attitude character is more resilient than a negative attitude character. Hence attitude is one such important factor of resilience. People who have characteristics of taking everything as a challenge and handling it with positive thinking, action, and management than having fear of it or blaming the situation.

    (k) Maintaining a sense of humor: Science proves that laughing is the best treatment for stress-free. It is found that a person with a high sense of humor is more resilient and less stressed.

    (l) Exercise: Practicing exercises regularly is highly correlated with a stronger level of resilience because physiological and psychological health has a positive relationship. Both mental and physical strength does wonders for employees to manage themselves for their personal and organizational issues.

    (j) Spirituality: It is identified from the earlier studies that one who is more spiritual likely to be more resilient as well. But it is not applicable vice versa for the people who are opposite to spirituality. But the belief in spirituality added an additional strength along to their own strength to overcome issues.
