    Green MarketingThe commencement of the green marketing concept arises from conventional marketing itself. The increasing concern about the natural resources and ecosystem on the part of manufacturers and consumers both give birth to green marketing. Although, Green marketing and traditional marketing are almost similar, but also there are some differences between them. These are discussed as follows:

    Difference between Conventional and Green Marketing

    Conventional Green
    Objective The purpose of conventional marketing is to satisfy customers and achieve organizational goals. The purpose of green marketing is to satisfy the customers keeping in mind environmental compatibility and achieve organizational goals.
    Focus Short term planning as it deals with the direct benefits of the product. Long-term planning and promoting ecolabeled products.
    Decision making It required fragmented thinking It requires integrated thinking where social and environmental issues are matched with economic desires.
    Risk Limited product risk Risky
    Expensive Moderate and sometimes costly Consumers are required to pay a premium as it involves high cost and value-added features.
    Corporate Responsibility Economical responsibility The social responsibility which goes beyond the laws
